Inspiring Growth Through Play
Play Academy is an inclusive service for children of all abilities aged 0-12 years to come and enjoy activities in an environment that has been engineered to promote their learning and development through play. The company was formed in 2025 by two concerned mums, because of a lack of permanent play facilities for children in the town of Blairgowrie and surrounding villages. It took approximately once year to get the final go ahead from local authority and secure funding to get the service off the ground.

We are a one of a kind service in Scotland and potentially the UK, placing Blairgowrie very much the centre of the map for our industry. The very concept of what we want to create in Blairgowrie has never been done before in this format, including a community space to hire for free and access to an occupational therapist for universal support services.

Serotonin & Dopamine
These two neurotransmitters and hormones serve as messengers in our brains and are the basis for our two main characters. Both affect our brain by stimulating our mood and acting as the brain's reward system. They're based on the shapes of the chemical formulas of both molecules.
